ABOUT ME

A little bit more about me

I am a flutist and musicologist passionate about classical music. To deepen my knowledge in understanding the art of music I followed two graduation paths achieving two master’s degrees: one in Musicology and another in Flute at University of Warsaw – Poland.

I started playing the flute when I was 8 years old in my hometown in Poland. Since then, I have had the opportunity to learn and work with several international magnificent artists:

At the age of 10, I went to the first competition outside my hometown, and since then it dawned on me that the life of a musician can be very interesting. I liked going to various musical events, so I started to strive for the most of them in my life. And so began musical traveling!

The second great event in my life was a trip to a competition in Giżycko – Poland with a fellow accordionist. It was then that I discovered Masuria (region in Poland) and its beautiful starry sky. We performed with Piazzola's repertoire. We didn’t win anything, but the emotions after the competition and the new acquaintances I had made fueled me with enthusiasm and curiosity. I didn't experience the pain of failure because I felt too many other positive sides of this trip.

At the age of 17, I left my hometown to improve my flute skills. I took part in competitions, I was developing very intensively, musically, and technically.

One of the most important skills in the new school was learning to play in an orchestra. Working in a large team gave me so much joy that it made me even more convinced that I should pursue a career as a musician.

At the end of my master study in 2016, I was able to get on Erasmus in Antwerp – Belgium, and there I met one of the most important artistic events in my life, the Zwanemans project, a two-month challenge where I had to learn to work as a professional musician, including all-day rehearsals in the theater.

From that moment on, I participated in several music and pedagogical projects. In 2017, I had a second opportunity to deepen my Erasmus skills again, this time teaching in the Portuguese music school. I spent three fantastic sunny months in Portugal and met many great musicians with whom I have contact until today. In the same year, I also went to my first foreign workshop in Tignes, where I studied with András Adorján.

In 2018 I moved to Paris, and I started to learn the French language.

I keep working to develop my career, and this platform is one of my ways to spread my wings and share my knowledge. I believe that my experience can help music learners with different levels of experience and interest. So, I invite you to make yourself at home here in my virtual space.
